REINTRODUCING D.F.I.G.

Welcome to Danny Ford is God, the best Clemson Blog on the internets. If you’re viewing this, chances are you saw our big ass sign at ESPN College Gameday. Thanks for visiting. Your hosts are myself; Chili, a recent Clemson graduate now working in Atlanta; and Willy Mac, a current Clemson student and lifelong fan. This blog was created out of the need to fill our free time, to be our mouthpiece on the internet, and to provide an alternate forum for Clemson information than Tigernet or Rivals or any of the other boards and blogs out there.

The name is a tongue-in-cheek homage to the great Danny Ford. It’s a play on Clemson fans’ rock-idol like adoration of the former coach. Danny represents a bygone era in Clemson football that we’ve since been striving to revisit, minus the NCAA violations. He was largely a personification of Clemson life. He’s a good old country boy who made it big, but never turned down a beer at the Esso. To this day he lives on a farm outside Clemson and rents a house on the property out to Clemson students. We don’t really think he’s God, but he’s a helluva guy and it made for a good and memorable blog name.

We criticize a lot, so if you want the family friendly Clemson coverage that always tows the company line, go to Tigernet. If you want senseless, poorly constructed rants, hacky jokes, and incessant hating, you’ve come to the right place.

I think it rocks ... your sign rocked ... keep it up ... tonight's game had running downhill, smash mouth Danny all over it ... well, no option ... oh, and the field doesn't have that ridiculous crown on it anymore ... but, yeah DFIG ... that rocks. (Move to South Carolina in '82, brother graduated '89, I graduated in '97) ... Go Tigers ... Go Deacs/Devils/Terps/Canes, beat the Eagles!

    BUNCH of disrespect to label "isGod.com" AND I GUESS anybody that disagrees ---you ZAP their comments away like you did yesterday. A sign DANNY FORD for President or something like that is COOL, but this was beyond disrespect. Something I would expect from a 12 year old. This really smells.

It's a tongue in cheek phrase, which for you simpletons, means that it is not sincere and should be taken with a grain of salt. We don't really think danny ford is god and have no ill will towards either. Take your backwoods ideas and go over to tigernet or fgf. If you dont like it and it makes you angry, then stop slobbering over our site and go somewhere else. Oh, wait, you're a Gamecock... all you do is slobber, lurk, and envy stuff.

    Heck, If you Really wanted alot of hits, you should go to Columbia gameday on 10-28 and have a SteveSpurrierIsGod.COM. The hits you would get from a current coach that is popular would be out of this world.
